national margarita day

Happy National Margarita Day! Ajua! Sounds like the perfect excuse to make a cocktail and celebrate the occasion.

I’m a margarita snob and I’m not embarrassed to admit it. I rarely order a margarita in a restaurant unless I know they use fresh juices. I’m not saying that I have always known a good margarita. Back in the day I drank my fair share of bottled sweet and sour margarita mix with cheap tequila, but after making so many homemade margaritas, I now can’t stand the taste of that stuff.

Making homemade margaritas is so simple. All you need is freshly squeezed fruit juice and some quality tequila and if you want to add an extra kick, then add some orange liqueur. That’s it!

I also love pitcher margaritas because you make one batch, pour your servings, and enjoy. No need to be shaking up cocktails when you can be busy sipping.

This pitcher of margaritas is made with freshly blended strawberries, tangerine and lemon juice, tequila, and a little honey for some added sweetness. Refreshing and so tasty! Enjoy.

This recipe sounds great, but unfortunately for some reason I can never find fresh tangerines around here. Will have to grab some next time in Florida!

Beautiful Yvette! I’m with you about those restaurant margs. I don’t order them for the same reason. Always prefer homemade with fresh real flavors. Love the color of this drink.
