Thanksgiving Paper Gratitude Wreath

I want to take a moment to let you know how thankful I am for having you as a reader. Everyday we should be thankful for the things we have and people we love and since this is Thanksgiving we should take the time to write them down.
With life being so busy it is nice to stop and write a handwritten note to share what and whom we appreciate in life.
This wreath is a beautiful place to store your little declarations of gratitude. Iโll be hosting Thanksgiving and all my guests will be asked to write a note of gratitude, and after we eat we will pass them around, and read them out loud.
I hope this idea inspires you to take the time to share what you are thankful for and make this easy-to-make ribbon and paper autumn wreath.
Supplies:
- 15 feet of wired burlap ribbon
- 22 squares of 4โณ x 4โณ light brown construction paper
- 22 squares of 3.5โณ x 3.5โณ ivory construction paper
- 20 squares of 3.5โณ x 3.5โณ dark brown construction paper
- 20 squares of 3โณ x 3โณ ivory construction paper
- Hot-glue gun and glue sticks
- 14โณ metal wreath base
- 22 small clothes pins
- 22 stalks of wheat
- 22 gold balls
- Strips of paper
Lay out 4โณ x 4โณ light brown squares and with a glue stick, glue 3.5โ x 3.5โณ ivory squares on top of the brown ones. Do the same for the dark brown and ivory small squares.
Mold squares into cone shapes; hot-glue at seams (it helps to find something to roll them around for uniformity). Use a clothespin to secure while drying.
Next wrap the burlap ribbon around the outer 2 rings of the wreath alternating rings allowing about a 5-inch loop. Hot glue each loop at the base.
Next, fold the bottom of each larger cone up and over the third ring metal wreath base and fasten in front with hot glue all along the perimeter. Repeat the same steps for the smaller cones along the bottom ring.
Cut off bottom of wheat stalks and hot-glue wheat tops into grooves between cones. Hot-glue a gold ball below each wheat stalk around inner perimeter of wreath.
