How to Keep Your Cutting Board from Slipping
My kids love helping in the kitchen, but it’s very important to teach them safety while they help. For example, a cutting board that slips around as you chop is unsafe.
My son is six years old and uses kid-friendly kitchen tools, but my daughter who is almost 13 is my little sous chef, and loves chopping and dicing.
If you have a slippery cutting board the easiest trick is too wet a paper towel and place it between the board and counter. This creates traction and your cutting board will stay in its place.
I love cooking with my children, and I highly recommend bonding with your children en la cocina. Those special moments help boost self-esteem, offer a chance to connect and have real conversation with your children, and most of all you are making memories that will last a lifetime.
