Candy canes are synonymous with Christmas and this pretty cocktail is a must for every holiday celebration this season. The fresh sprig of mint and crushed candy cane rim add just enough elegance to entice every guest in attendance. This peppermint martini goes down cool and warms you up just as quickly. Vanilla Peppermint Martini
Ingredients
- Candy canes
- 2 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
- 1 ounce peppermint schnapps
- Lime
- Fresh mint
- Ice
Instructions
- Crush your choice of candy canes to rim the martini glasses. If you donโt want to rim with crushed candy canes then just dangle a miniature candy cane on the rim of each glass.
- Chill the martini glasses by filling with crushed ice and cold water.
- Remove the water and ice from martini glasses. Wet glass rim with lime wedge and coat with crushed candy canes.
- Pour vodka and schnapps in a shaker over crushed ice and shake well.
- Strain peppermint martini into glass and add mint sprig.

we just tried this and it’s SO STRONG and not very good. My boyfriend actually spit it out. I’m sorry to write it but I think people should know! at least it looked nice.
Hi Julianna, don’t let the pretty candy canes fool you, this is a very strong drink. Hence no simple syrup or agave nectar to sweeten it up. If you want to make it less potent try adding less vodka and some simple syrup made with some fresh mint leaves. Please give it another try and let me know how it works out. I may redo the recipe for this Christmas season and repost it with the lighter version for the sweeter palate. Thanks for visiting and leaving us your honest comments. Salud!
