Frozen smoothie packs are revolutionizing the way I enjoy daily fruits and vegetables. By pre-portioning and freezing nutrient-packed ingredients, these packs make it effortless to whip up a delicious, healthy smoothie anytime. Whether you’re setting new health goals or simply looking to reduce food waste, frozen smoothie packs offer a convenient solution that fits perfectly into your busy lifestyle.

Why You’ll Love Frozen Smoothie Packs
For anyone committed to a healthier lifestyle, frozen smoothie packs are a game changer. At the beginning of each new year, many of us vow to eat more produce, yet too often our fruits and vegetables spoil before we get a chance to use them. With frozen smoothie packs, you can reduce food waste and streamline your meal prep. In the morning, just grab a bag from the freezer, blend it with water or milk, and enjoy a nutritious, energizing smoothie that helps kick-start your day.
What Are Frozen Smoothie Packs?
Frozen smoothie packs are make-ahead, pre-portioned bags filled with a mix of fruits, vegetables, and other wholesome ingredientsโflash-frozen to lock in their natural nutrients and flavor.
Simply add your preferred liquid, such as water or milk, and blend for a quick, ready-to-drink smoothie. This innovative approach not only preserves freshness but also provides an effortless way to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diet.
How to make smoothie freezer packs
Simply place all the ingredients, except the liquid, inside a plastic bag and freeze until ready to use.
- 1-quart Ziploc freezers bags to make individual portions
- Cut all produce including bananas into smaller pieces to make it easier to blend when frozen
- Label freezer bags with ingredients
- Use either fresh or frozen fruit to make your freezer packs
Ingredients & Substitutions
- Chia Seeds and Flax Seeds: I have mason jars on my countertop filled with chia seeds and ground flax seed for my smoothies. Both chia and flax seeds are rich in a variety of nutrients. Sprinkle a teaspoon to any of your smoothies before blending or add them to your smoothie packs before freezing.
- Protein: Add a boost of protein to your smoothies. These are some of my favorites: Collagen Powder and Plant-Based Protein. I usually add a protein Greek yogurt for added protein to my smoothies.
- Liquid for smoothies: For these smoothie packs, place the frozen ingredients into a blender, along with liquid of choice (water, coconut water, cashew milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or juice).
