How To Make Peach & Pork Skewers

Soak bamboo or wooden skewers in water for thirty minutes prior to turning into kabobs; this will prevent them from burning on the grill. If you are using metal skewers, you can skip this step.

Preheat grill to medium-high.

Place chipotles and adobo sauce, orange juice, lemon juice, and mango sauce in the blender and puree. Separate the sauce in half in two different bowls.

TIP: Want to get ahead on meal prep for the week? The sauce can be made up to a week in advance and kept in the refrigerator.

Alternate threading the cubes of pork and peach slices onto skewers. For an added touch of color and flavor add red onion to skewers.

Brush half of the sauce onto pork and peaches, being sure to only dip your brush into one of the two bowls of sauce to prevent contamination.

Generously sprinkle kabobs with seasonings.

Grill skewers on one side until pork releases easily from the grate, about 3 to 4 minutes. Flip skewers and continue to grill for 2 to 3 minutes more, until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145 F.

Brush or drizzle with reserved sauce. Garnish with cilantro and serve. Enjoy!

Can I prep these kabobs ahead of time?

Yep! The sauce can be made and refrigerated up to a week in advance. The skewers can be soaked and threaded up to 4 hours ahead; just be sure to wrap them in an airtight container and place them in the fridge until you’re ready to grill. If you try to work any further ahead than that, the peaches will oxidize and turn brown before grilling. That’s no fun.

What can I substitute for peaches?

If you can’t find good peaches in season, I’d recommend swapping in another stone fruit. Nectarines are the closest in flavor to peaches, but plums or apricots could also work beautifully.

Should I use wooden or metal skewers?

Any style of skewer will work for this recipe. If you opt for a wooden or bamboo version, just be sure to soak in water for 30 minutes prior to threading on the kabob ingredients.

  • 2 canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, plus 1 tablespoon sauce
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ยผ cup Tastefully Simpleย Mango Grill Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon Tastefully Simple Onion Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 red onion, pieces (optional)
  • Cilantro leaves for garnish, (optional)
