Christmas is almost here! Are you ready? I have been baking like a mad woman and stocking my freezer with lots of tamales. Speaking of tamales – Did you see the video by Food Network with Coca-Cola? I still can’t believe it. It’s a dream come true!

Ok, back to Christmas …With all the cooking I have been doing, I have been snacking quite a bit. One cookie for the cookie platter and one cookie for me, one for the platter, and one for me. You get the picture.

I keep telling myself that it’s ok, because Christmas calories don’t count. Right?  Don’t I wish.

I am hosting this year, and I usually serve batched cocktails such as Christmas Sangria and Poinsettia Punch. This year I will also be serving this light and refreshing Coconut Water Bourbon Punch.

Punch bowl drinks are a great way to get large groups into the holiday spirit. This light cocktail combined with flavored coconut water and aged spirits complement one another and will transport you to a tropical paradise with hints of mango and pineapple, but at the same time warms your soul.

Coconut water is the clear liquid found inside the coconut shell — it’s slightly nutty and extremely hydrating. This is a simple and hydrating combination: coconut water and whiskey. Plus, coconut water is low in calories so you can have more room for cookies and tamales.

Christmas is about spending time with family and friends. It’s about creating happy memories that will last a lifetime.

Feliz Navidad to you and your family!

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients into a punch bowl with ice, cinnamon sticks, and orange slices just before serving.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Coconut water is the clear liquid found inside the coconut shell — it’s slightly nutty and extremely hydrating. If you don't find the brand I used, use regular coconut water and add a splash of mango and pineapple juice.
