Why are men so difficult to shop for? This Fatherโ€™s Day we searched high and low for a unique DIY gift idea that men will actually use. Since we donโ€™t want to donate yet another bad Fatherโ€™s Day tie, my partner, Thrifty Rehab, came up with something that they will enjoy โ€“ actually, the whole family can enjoy. Yummy homemade rubs for our grillinโ€™ savvy men.

These homemade rubs are a dry mixture of salt, pepper, and spices that you use to flavor food before cooking. Use rubs to add flavor and textureโ€”the seasoning helps to form a crispy crust.

These rubs work best with beef, chicken, lamb, pork, poultry, and shellfish.

Look at these simple store-bought beef shish kabobs. All I did was drizzle a bit of olive oil and sprinkled them with the ancho chili rub and grilled. Super simple and delicious!

These decanters turned out colorfully adorable. If the men donโ€™t love them, I know plenty of women who will.

Below youโ€™ll find a list of the ingredients to make these tasty treats.

What is the best Fatherโ€™s Day gift you’ve given or received?
