Sugar Skull Decorating Party + Video
You have no idea how excited I am to share this blog post and video with you. I’m guessing some of you have seen it, but for those of you who haven’t – grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and enjoy this Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Decorating Party video. It is by far my favorite!
This is a fiesta I have been wanting to host for quite a while and was thrilled when my friend Karen was open to hosting the event in her beautiful home. And of course I didn’t want to do it without family, so I extended the invitation to my cousin Brenda.
As the planning for this party began, it grew, and grew, and grew. We went on numerous shopping sprees for decor, food, flowers, and clothes for the children. We were also in a mad rush to make some fun DIY projects like these paper flowers and of course the sugar skulls.
Dia de los Muertos is always so energizing for me. My inner artist comes out and I feel inspired and rejuvenated. For me this holiday is the perfect time to share my creativity while we honor our loved ones who have who have passed.
In an upcoming blog post I will tell you all about the children (the stars of the show), and tell you more about who they honored, and share some photos of the items we placed on the altar.
I would love to know: Will you be celebrating Dia de los Muertos? If you would like to host a Day of the Dead sugar skull decorating party I have listed a few links below for inspiration.
