Calling for Cookbook Recipe Testers!
The Muy Bueno Cookbook is well under way. I have been working hard refining my manuscript, testing, cooking, styling, and photo shoots.
The cookbook will take some time before it’s completed, of course. And then it will take some time before it is published too. It will include authentic Mexican recipes, stories, and pictures.
I’m looking for a few recipe testers to help out with….um….recipe testing.
If you’re interested in recipe testing, please comment below. I’m looking for honest feedback on specifics of the recipe and final dish.
Your help would be most appreciated and yes, your name will be in the book!
Gracias!

We would love to be one of your testers. We love mexican food and cook some now. We loved your enchiladas
I would love to be a recipe tester! Thank you!
Are you still looking?
Syd and Cindy: We can never have too many testers. Feel free to make anything on our site and email me your feedback.
Have you already found enough testers? I’m sure this is old, but thought I’d try….
I am definately interested in testing your recipes – please let me know if you still need testers!! 🙂
Hi Teri,
Another tester never hurts. If you see a recipe you like on our blog, whip it up at home, and I’ll email you a form for you till fill out. Thanks for offering to taste some of our home cooking. Happy New Year! ~ Yvette
Do you still need recipe testers? 😀
Hi Noelle!
We would love more testers! Test the recipes we post and give us your honest two cents!!! Let me know what you try out and I can email you a form to fill out. Thanks for wanting to test Muy Bueno recipes!
Aha! Love to test recipes! Especially Mexican food! Looking forward to it!
i would be honored to help yu out best i could. i am muslim so i would not make any dishes that included pork, i hope this doesnt discourage you from allowing me to help 🙂
Raja: Feel free to make any of the recipes on the site and email me your feedback. There will be more recipes posted soon. If there is a Mexican recipe that you want to try and it is not posted email me and I can see if I have it on file for the book. Thanks for wanting to try a bit of my culture.
Okay, I am also veg, and I realize this post is about a month old so you’re probably all good, but I LOVE cooking from cookbooks (I have a purchasing habit that has my husband mumbling about on-line recipe availability at least once a week).
If you still need people and would like another veg tester, I am good to go. I am definitely making your Enchiladas verdes this weekend (my local tortilleria only makes the fresh ones on weekends, and I am now a lame tortilla snob because they are right around the corner), and could happily provide you with feedback about that. If there’s anything else you want tested, PLEASE don’t hesitate to send!
Amanda: I’d love to hear your feedback on the enchilada recipe!!! Once you try them out let me know and I can email you a survey form.
I would love to test a recipe or a few! I have been “unofficially” testing recipes for around 26 years, with my whole family voting on the results, and it has been fun! We love Mexican food and I would like to especially try bean dishes or different types of salsas.
Will you ship samples to Superior, WI?
I am *so* going to try these with a vegetarian adaptation … and in regard to specific recipes, I am down for making anything Mexican, as long as there’s no meat! (Although I do eat fish and I love me a good fish taco recipe.)
Natasha,
Stay tuned!!! An amazing Pan Fried Tilapia with Mango and Avocado Salsa recipe will be posted this month 🙂
Yvette, I was just thinking do you have any recipes for different pan dulces? I am working on perfecting my marranitos but would love to try out any others you may have.
thanks,
Sylvia
Hi Sylvia,
WOW, now you have me craving pan dulce with my coffee. Darn it! LOL! My family never really made pan dulce — we always ran to our nearest panaderia. But that is a GREAT idea! I am going to try it out and when I do I’ll let you know.
Adios!
Yvette
I’d love to test some recipes out!! I’m a vegetarian so if the recipies contain meat, I would have to substitute for veggie meat or tofu or lentils, but I think it would be lots of fun!! 🙂
Goodness, I have terrible spelling on Friday afternoons! *recipe
I’m planning a trip to South and Central America so it would be fun to test out a few authentic Mexican recipes while doing some trip planning 🙂
Hi Natasha,
If you have a meal in mind let me know and I’ll be happy to send it to you for your feedback. Would love to heard your experience as a vegetarian. The Enchiladas Verdes are AWESOME if made without chicken. You will LOVE them!!!
I’d love to test out some recipes, looks like a fabulous book!!
I am interested in doing the recipe testing if you are still looking, I live in a large Mexican community so it should be fun.
Paula
Hi Paula,
Feel free to try any of the recipes posted. Once you make one be sure to let me know and I’ll send you a survey form for you to fill out. I’m honored that you found my blog and want to try my recipes!
Yvette
I’ll do it! We can be like Julie & Julia… you know, Juana & Juanita – haha!
When I get home I’ll make the enchilada recipe you posted and let you know how it goes.
Gina: I just watched that movie for the first time last night? LOVED it! Now I’m really inspired — it was soooo my story 😉 Did you try the enchiladas? I would love for you to test them. Once you do I’ll email you a survey form for you to fill out.
Ok- does this really, really include ANYONE? If so, I might just dust off the kitchen.
It absolutely does!!! What recipe would you like to tackle first? I’ll email you a recipe along with a survey form for your feedback.
If we end up in Colorado for new years then maybe we can be taste testers 🙂
I need virtual tasters 🙂
I need people to make my recipes and provide feedback. If you are interested in cooking all that is Muy Bueno in your kitchen please let me know.
me, me, me, I want to be a taste tester
Yay! II’d love for you to cook my stuff for your familia! Is there a recipe you’d like to try out?
