Pre-order

I have some fun surprises for those of you who pre-order (hold on to your receipt/order numbers)!

As an author, pre-orders are really helpful and HUGELY important to the success of cookbooks. I’d be beyond grateful if you pre-ordered a copy for you, one for your mama, hija, hermana, prima, nuera, comadre, and bestie!!

Tell me more…

I wrote Muy Bueno: Fiestas to take the worry out of hosting fiestas and to help you find that ease as you explore Mexican cuisine and adopt new traditions. This book will inspire you through a year of celebrating American and Mexican holidays con gusto.

This cookbook has 100+ traditional and contemporary Mexican recipes and is sprinkled with crafts: cascarones, sugar skulls, and piñatas just to name a few!

You can read more about it here and learn where to buy it.

Let’s celebrate

I hope you are as excited as I am to celebrate, because if there is anything these last couple of years have taught us, if anything, is that life is fleeting and fragile. We need to appreciate and enjoy our loved ones. And what a better way than to gather around the holidays and every occasion, no matter how big or small, with delicious recipes that take us back to our childhood and help us make new memories.

The fiesta is the heart of the Mexican community, and food is the heart of the fiesta.

Gracias

I put my heart and soul into every single recipe, and with the talented Jenna Sparks, together we styled every photo con mucho amor. My goal is that this cookbook inspires you to host, entertain, but most of all get in the kitchen and cook my recipes that are inspired by my grandmother’s old-world northern Mexican style, my mother’s El Paso home cooking, my favorite childhood dishes, along with my travel adventures in Mexico.

Speaking of my mom — shout out to my amazing mama for helping me so much! She was my secret recipe testing queen. I couldn’t have developed, tested, and cooked so many recipes without her help and the assistance of others: Rachel, Erika, Maya, and Tola!

Mil gracias to YOU!!! I couldn’t have written this new cookbook without all your support and for sharing your stories, reposts, tags, and photos. My heritage is a big part of my identity, and it is always nice to hear that I have inspired you. Nothing makes me happier than knowing our heritage continues to be preserved, generation after generation.

I don’t have any detailed plans regarding book tour yet, but I hope I can meet some of you in real life. I can’t wait for you to get a copy of my new cookbook and to see what you make.

Abrazos,

~Yvette
